Bio
Márta Széll, vice rector of the University of Szeged, head of Department of Medical Genetics at the Faculty of Medicine. Her research interest focuses on the molecular immunpathogenesis of psoriasis and the identification and functional characterization of novel genetic variants in genodermatoses and in neurodegenerative diseases. The scientific merits of Professor Széll were acknowledged with the presidency of the Hungarian Society of Genetics and Genomics in the last presidential cycle, currently she serves as the president of the Hungarian Society for Immunology. In 2014 she was awarded with the Eastern European Academic Leader Award of ESDR and in 2020 with the Order of Merit of the Hungarian Republic, Officer’s Cross.
