Bio
Dr. Fuchs received his B.Sc. from Haifa University, followed by a direct Ph.D. track at the Technion Israel Institute of Technology. Upon completion of his doctorate, he went on to conduct post-doctoral research at The Rockefeller University and Howard Hughes Medical Institute. Dr. Fuchs then returned to the Technion as the head of the Laboratory of Stem Cell Biology and Regenerative Medicine. He held the position of Assistant Professor in the Faculty of Biology, the Lokey Interdisciplinary Center for Life Sciences & Engineering, and the Technion Integrated Cancer Center. Upon starting at the Technion, Dr. Fuchs was awarded the Deloro Career Advancement Chair and the Alon Fellowship for new Principal Investigators. Recently, Dr. Fuchs moved to Augmanity Nano, a privately funded research institute, where he currently holds the position of Principal Investigator and Director.
Throughout his career, Dr. Fuchs has focused on developing innovative approaches for regenerative medicine and tumor therapy, leading an international team of distinguished scientists. He is a renowned researcher and educator who has received numerous awards for his scientific excellence and unique teaching style. In 2019 alone, he was named EMBO Young Investigator and was honored with the Krill Prize from the Wolf Foundation, the Daniel Shiran Memorial Prize, and the prestigious AAAS Science & Sartorius Grand Prize for Regenerative Medicine & Cell Therapy. Dr. Fuchs has published extensively in leading scientific journals and has presented his work on both nationaly and international stages.
At present, Dr. Fuchs is focusing on transforming his research discoveries into applied cures for regenerative medicine and tumor therapy.
