How to get from the Congress Centre Lisboa to Galé Patio:
  • Take Bus 732: walk to the Rua da Junqueira bus stop (3-5 minute walk) from the Congress Centre Lisboa and take bus 732 to the station Corpo Santo, from which is Galé Patio 400 m.
  • Take Tram 15E: walk to the Rua da Junqueira stop (3-5 minute walk) from the Congress Centre Lisboa and take tram 15E to the station Corpo Santo, from which is Galé Patio 400 m.
  • Take Bus 728: walk to the Hosp. Egas Moniz – Av. India bus stop (8 minutes) from the Congress Centre Lisboa and take bus 728 to the station Pç. Comércio, from which is Galé Patio 300 m.

Transport will be provided from the meeting venue. Details will be provided later.

Priority will be given to alumni from ESDR’s Future Leaders Academy, Summer Research Workshop Attendees and Global Health Fellows. Additional places will be made available for alumni of future leader programs from sister societies (SID, JSID, KISD, TSID, ASDR etc) and young scientists not in the above categories.

All participants of the networking event must attend the Future Leaders Symposium on Wednesday, 4 September 2024.

Pre-registration for the Future Leaders  Networking Dinner has closed. We will announce on site if space is available.

Works at the interfaces for the dialogue between science, research and society

Renaud is a science storyteller fully committed to the science-culture-society dialogue. He works at the interface of these ecosystems, whether through audiovisual production or the creation of innovative initiatives in support of scientific research. He founded the Double·Science festival, the Explorers Youtube channel, The Lonely Pipette podcast and the Cell Worlds art-science project. He is a content creator for various media, including Jamy Gourmaud – Epicurieux on Tiktok. His work has received a number of recognitions, including a double award from the Savoirs et Cultures fund supported by the CNC and ARTE, multiple festival selections (Les Utopiales, Pariscience, Imagine Science), and the Live-Reporter Commitment Award for the Fête de la Science. As spokesman for L’Exploratoire, he trains the scientific ecosystem to share science, and works for the recognition of popular science as a tool of democracy.

 

Short bio: 

Renaud is a science storyteller and advocate for science-culture-society dialogue, creating initiatives like Double·Science, Youtube channel Exaltia and The Lonely Pipette podcast. He’s won multiple awards and promotes science communication as a democratic tool.
