Information for Oral Presenters

Each meeting room is equipped with a single video-projector for computer assisted presentations, (PowerPoint. 16:9 format). After completing meeting registration at the Welcome Desk, each speaker should go to the SPEAKER PREVIEW ROOM. The room will be open from WEDNESDAY 18 SEPTEMBER, 07.30 am until the close of the meeting. All presentations must be in English. Each speaker should also verify in the final program that the name of the room and the time of the session have not changed.

Speakers should be in the meeting room 15 minutes before the beginning of the session when possible. Please, follow strictly the instructions of the session chairs, especially with regard to the time allotted to the talk.  You will find a laser pointer on the lectern to help you pointing to your slides if necessary.

The ESDR requests that speakers do not plan on connecting their laptop to the in-room projector. Every speaker must go to the SPEAKER PREVIEW ROOM beforehand to load their PowerPoint presentations.

Your computer file must be handed over to the personnel of the SPEAKER PREVIEW ROOM as far in advance as possible and 60 minutes BEFORE the beginning of each session AT THE LATEST. Presentations for an early morning session should be handed over in the evening before).

In the SPEAKER PREVIEW ROOM you will be assisted by a technician who will help you to download your presentation to the internal network. You will also be able to review your presentation and to verify that it has been transferred correctly to the network.

Your presentation will be sent directly to the meeting room through the internal computer network of the meeting venue. A technician in the meeting room will then point out your presentation on the screen of the computer positioned on the lectern, a few seconds before your talk. The PC on the lectern is linked to a video-projector.

Once the presentation is launched, you, the speaker, will control the program. Clicking on the slide advancer, your computer assisted slides will go on as usual.

Please, DO NOT come at the last minute with your own laptop in the meeting room: you will NOT be able to connect it. Go to the SPEAKER PREVIEW ROOM beforehand.

Note: All digital files submitted by presenters will be destroyed at the end of the meeting.
