ICONODIAGNOSIS Exhibition

“skin color challenge”

For the past three years, the ESDR Congress has been giving increasing prominence to medical art through dedicated exhibitions. In 2025, it will be held in Antwerp, the birthplace of Peter Paul Rubens, the renowned master of Flemish Baroque.

Art will once again take center stage, with two interactive exhibitions featured in the poster hall.

The first exhibition is dedicated to dermatological iconodiagnosis, a discipline focused on identifying diseases or dermatological signs depicted in works of art. Organized under the auspices of the scientific society ISI, the International Iconodiagnosis Society, chaired by Dr. Philippe Charlier, this exhibition invites participants to contribute to the project by reporting paintings from their national museums in which a skin condition can be recognized.

The second exhibition, created by Corinne Déchelette, PhD in skin biology and founder of the medical art concept PEAUrigami® and LA PEAU AUTREMENT, offers a dermato-artistic interpretation of major skin diseases. She also invites you to take part in a “Skin Color Challenge” painting workshop, held during the breaks. Get your brushes ready!
