We’re thrilled to introduce our four official Social Media Ambassadors for the 54th Annual ESDR Meeting!
Throughout the week, they’ll bring the science, stories, and spirit of the meeting to life across our platforms — sharing key insights, behind-the-scenes moments, and expert perspectives. Stay tuned!
I am a NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer in Dermatology at St John’s Institute of Dermatology, King’s College London.
I am a clinical academic with a focus on pilosebaceous disorders such as acne and hidradenitis suppurativa.
My research is aimed at identifying clinically useful biomarkers for diagnosing, phenotyping and assessing these conditions.
Daria is a PhD candidate at the Medical University of Vienna, Austria, specializing in skin cancer research.
Passionate about science communication, she actively works to make research more accessible and engaging through social media, serving as an official TikTok ambassador for her university.
She is excited to bring the same enthusiasm and outreach to ESDR2025
Dr. Ali Nasrallah is a postdoctoral researcher at the Bordeaux Institute of Oncology (BRIC), France.
He earned his PhD in skin biology from the University of Grenoble Alpes, France.
With over five years of research experience in dermatology, his work focuses on investigating the disruption of molecular mechanisms involved in inflammation and pigmentation in Xeroderma Pigmentosum (XP). He utilizes a range of models, including Xenopus, murine models, and 3D reconstructed skin, with the aim of identifying novel therapeutic targets.
Dr. Hephzi Tagoe is a skin biologist and award-winning science communicator with a PhD in Cell and Molecular Biology. Her research focuses on TLR2 signaling and skin barrier dysfunction, driven by a strong commitment to advancing the understanding of inflammatory skin conditions.
As the founding director of G.H.Scientific and a member of the Association of British Science Writers, Hephzi has led public engagement initiatives across Africa and the UK, making quality STEM experiences accessible to diverse audiences. Her unique blend of scientific expertise and storytelling skill has earned her multiple awards, including the Royal Society of Biology’s Science Communication Award and a Community Engagement Award from Queen Mary University.
As a Social Media Ambassador for ESDR 2025, Hephzi brings both academic insight and creative communication to the role, sharing highlights, sparking dialogue, and amplifying the voices and breakthroughs that will define this year’s meeting
