Anushka Sharma

Uk

Dr Anushka Sharma is an Internal Medicine Trainee in the UK with a strong interest in clinical dermatology.

Her research spans inflammatory dermatoses, patch testing, and psychodermatology. She combines her enthusiasm for dermatology research with a passion for science communication, using digital media to translate emerging evidence into engaging and accessible educational content.

GOWTHAM SUBRAMANIAN

Singapore

Dr. Gowtham Subramanian is a clinical scientist and researcher at A*STAR Skin Research Labs, Singapore, with interests spanning dermatology, pharmacology, and translational medicine. His work focuses on advancing evidence-based therapeutics, drug repurposing, and innovative approaches to skin disease research. He is actively involved in scientific communication, academic publishing, and fostering international collaborations in dermatological research.

Hephzi Tagoe

Ghana & UK

Dr. Hephzi Tagoe is a biomedical scientist and Senior Lecturer at Academic City University, Ghana, where she serves as Head of Biomedical Engineering and Director of the BioInnovation Centre. Her research focuses on epidermal barrier dysfunction, while her broader work explores translating science into health innovations for low-resource settings. As an award-winning science communicator, she is passionate about making research accessible and engaging diverse audiences in science and skin health.

Vasiliki Pikoula

UK

Vasiliki Pikoula is a newly qualified doctor in the UK, beginning her Foundation training in August, with a strong interest in dermatology and clinical research.

Her work focuses on atopic dermatitis and the underrepresentation of skin of colour in dermatological research, with a particular interest in real-world treatment outcomes and health inequalities in skin disease. She also holds a Master’s in Cancer Genomics and Data Science, reflecting a broader interest in applying genomic and data-driven approaches to medicine.

Alongside her clinical work, she is passionate about science communication and making dermatological research engaging and accessible to a wider audience.
