Florian Gruber

Florian Gruber is Associate Professor at the Department of Dermatology of the Medical University of Vienna and heads the Christian Doppler Laboratory SKINMAGINE. This public/corporate venture together with CHANEL PB and the Technical University of Vienna is dedicated to the multimodal investigation of  the role of senescent cells the tissue context of aging human skin. His research is focussed on the role of bioactive lipids in stress and aging and in the skin’s response to lipid signaling.

Dr. Gruber received his Master and PhD degrees in Genetics at the University of Vienna and has worked at the University of Virginia, USA, as a Max Kade Fellow. He is member of the ESDR and SID and serves in the Editorial Board of the JID and is author of books that communicate skin science to a broader public.
