Liv Eidsmo, MD, PhD, is Chair and Professor of Dermatology and Venereology at Karolinska Institutet and Consultant Dermatologist at Karolinska University Hospital, Stockholm. Her research focuses on tissue‑resident memory T cells (Trm) in human skin and their role in chronic inflammatory skin diseases, including psoriasis, vitiligo and contact dermatitis. Through mechanistic studies in human tissues combined with translational clinical research, her work has contributed to defining how pathogenic Trm populations persist in epithelial tissues and drive recurrent disease. Prof. Eidsmo has received several competitive fellowships, including the Ragnar Söderberg Fellowship, the Wallenberg Clinical Fellowship and the Ellis and Ivar Janzon Prize.
