Ricardo Grieshaber-Bouyer is an entrepreneurial physician-scientist and the Professor of Clinical Systems Immunology at FAU Erlangen-Nürnberg, where he also serves as Head of the Clinical Trial Unit. A pioneer in translational immunology, he is renowned for his clinical and translational work on CAR T cell therapy and the first-in-patient applications of T-cell engagers for autoimmune diseases – work that is currently reshaping the clinical development playbook.

Accordingly, he serves as a Global Principal Investigator for several high-profile early-stage clinical trials, executing complex studies focused on cell depletion, while his translational team identifies the immunological hallmarks of therapy response.
Uniquely positioned at the intersection of medicine and business, Ricardo holds a Master of Health Business Administration (MHBA) alongside his MD PhD (summa cum laude, Heidelberg) and postdoctoral training at Harvard Medical School.
